Choose to be a permanently postage or a vacation stamp.   Unless you're a philatelist, the sole function of a postage stamp is to adhere to the envelope or package.

This small piece of adhesive backed paper must stay so solidly affixed that it survives the shuffling and friction against other pieces of email in the postman's bag or truck, close experiences in various mail rooms as it gets sorted and rerouted and back out for shipping.  Think about the obstacles and close brushes with death struck by this little little rectangle of paper discover here.

Forever stamps retain their usefulness even following postage rates increase.  Holiday Estimates have a fixed value and are most often used only for Christmas cards and other vacation mail.

Relate your resolutions and decisions to the sticking power of a postage stamp.  How determined are you to stick with your goals and resolutions until you get to your destination?  The persistence of a vacation stamp means that you give up before the holiday ends.  A vacation stamp looks festive, attractive and appropriate for a couple weeks until it starts resembling rancid cut out sugar cookies.

Whether your new goal was to drop weight, establish a physical exercise program or establish a new company, it absolutely takes more than a casual attempt to get a couple of weeks.  What are you prepared to do to reach your objective?

Bart was drafted in the NFL at the very last round of this draft.  Not only that but he had been awarded jersey 44, not even a quarterback amount because he wasn't expected to make the team.

Andy Andrews released a book of 52 letters of now famous men and women who dwelt through multiple failures to reach their fame.   He received 600 rejections before he obtained the 52 letters from the first publication.  Publishers refused to print it.  "Storms of Perfection" is the only book I know about that sold 100,000 copies before it ever graced the shelves of a book shop.

Common denominator among all of these examples and countless others was persistence.  Every one of them owned a dream which was stronger than the hurdles and rejections received.
